19- Spirit City ..

Plaza de la Virgen, Valencia

On Thursday the 13th of April 2017, going out from Granada passing through the final city in our tour in Andalusia to the Sea of the Mediterranean.
The time passed because I slept most of the way from my tiredness, so I didn't hear what the guide of our tour was saying all along the road. I was in a deep sleep until we reach Valencia.
Valencia with its port was found by a Roman colony. Then the Arabs Moors occupied the city, introducing their language, religions and customs.
Gothic style civil building and a principal tourist attraction. It was also the financial center of La Lonja where the merchants work out contracts.
Then the "Serranos Gate" one of the 12 gates that formed a part of the ancient Christian Wall.
Followed by the Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica of the Assumption of our Lady, which is a Roman Catholic parish church in Valencia.
Passing through the Plaza de Toros with its famous Bullring is a neoclassical style.
A first rest was at the "Plaza de la Virgen" for about 30 minutes for a coffee break.
